Let me begin with the end-result: the sauce is exceptionally rich and delicious... a perfect compliment to a meatballs. I'm not a master chef but this was still a very easy recipe to follow. More importantly, you can adjust the seasoning/flavor to your taste as it simmers. Thanks!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, or about half of a small onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoons butter
- 1 grated cheese
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of mushroom
- 1 can bottoms mushroom
Preparation:
In a large bowl combine beef, oats, onion, garlic powder, seasoned salt, pepper, eggs, and 1/2 cup milk (mixture will be soft). Using about 2 tablespoons of mixture per meatball, shape 18 to 20 meatballs. In large pan melt butter and oil and brown several meatballs at a time, turning carefully with spatula. As meatballs brown, remove to a clean bowl. And set aside.
Meanwhile, make mushroom sauce. In a saucepan, heat butter over medium-low heat; add mushrooms. Cook, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are golden brown and tender. Add cream of mushroom, stirring until well blended. Add set aside meat balls and season to taste. Contine cooking, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened and bubbly.
Serve meatballs with sauce.

Happy eating :D
